About Sonal

Why “Infinity”?

Just like infinity, progress in maths never really ends — there's always a next step, a next grade boundary, a next moment of "oh, I get it now." That's the idea behind Infinity Maths Tutoring: removing the barriers that get in the way of that progress, one lesson at a time.

Sonal gained a BSc in Economics & Maths from the University of Sheffield, followed by a PGCE at St Mary's University. She has taught in secondary schools since 2007 and is currently a Maths Lead Practitioner, working with students across Years 7–13 and every ability range.

How it works

Your child's learning journey

A clear, four-step process from first contact to steady, visible progress — kept simple for parents to follow.

01

Free introductory call

We talk through your child's year group, exam board and where they're currently finding maths difficult, so lessons start in the right place from day one.

02

First-lesson assessment

Sonal informally assesses understanding across every relevant topic and records it in a colour-coded topic list, tailored to your child's school and exam board.

03

A live, shared logbook

Each student's topic list becomes part of an online logbook, updated after every lesson with what was covered, what's planned next, and any homework — shared with parents by email.

04

Ongoing support, not just lesson time

Students and parents can reach Sonal between lessons — by phone, email or message — for help with homework or anything unclear from a school maths lesson.

What parents & students say

Real results, from real families

Sonal is an excellent tutor. She has taught my children for the last four years at GCSE level and is patient, supportive and encouraging — she fills in the gaps left by school. In the first year my daughter worked with Sonal, her results went to near full marks.

SheenaParent

We would highly recommend Infinity Maths Tutoring because of the exceptional standards and methods of tutoring. We've seen a significant improvement in our son's progress in a short space of time, and maths is now his favourite subject.

KanziParent

I really enjoyed the use of the interactive whiteboard in our online lessons — it was almost like a real one-to-one session in the room. Thank you, Sonal.
