These Terms & Conditions apply to all tuition provided by Infinity Maths Tutoring. By booking a lesson, the parent/carer (or student where aged 18 or over) agrees to the following terms.
Infinity Maths Tutoring provides online mathematics tuition on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
Lessons are tailored to support each student’s individual needs, ability and academic goals. While every effort will be made to help students make progress and achieve their goals, specific grades, examination results or levels of progress cannot be guaranteed.
Tuition is charged on a pay-per-session basis.
Payment for each session must be made at the end of each month as stated on the invoice.
A student’s lesson time is only secured once the booking has been agreed.
Infinity Maths Tutoring reserves the right to pause or refuse further tuition where payments remain outstanding.
I understand that occasionally plans change.
If you need to cancel or rearrange a one-to-one lesson, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
Where sufficient notice is provided, I will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the session, subject to availability.
Lessons cancelled with less than the required notice may be charged at the full lesson fee.
If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be charged in full.
Small-group sessions are scheduled for a specific day and time and rely on students attending consistently.
If a student is unable to attend a group session, the session fee will normally remain payable and cannot be transferred to another date.
Where appropriate, any resources or work used during the session may be provided so that the student can catch up independently.
Group sizes may vary if students are absent or leave the group.
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a lesson, I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
The lesson will either be rearranged to a mutually convenient time or any payment already made for that session will be refunded or credited towards a future lesson.
Students should aim to join their online lesson promptly.
If a student arrives late, the lesson will still finish at the originally scheduled time and the full lesson fee will remain payable.
If I am delayed, the lost teaching time will either be added to the session where possible or made up at an agreed time.
Students are responsible for having a suitable device, reliable internet connection and any equipment or materials required for their lesson.
Students should join lessons from a quiet and appropriate environment where they can concentrate.
Infinity Maths Tutoring cannot be held responsible for lesson time lost because of technical difficulties relating to the student’s internet connection, device or equipment.
Where significant technical problems occur on my side, I will make reasonable arrangements to make up the lost teaching time.
Students are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately during all lessons.
Infinity Maths Tutoring reserves the right to end a lesson or discontinue tuition where a student’s behaviour is persistently inappropriate, abusive or disruptive.
In these circumstances, the parent/carer will be contacted.
For students under the age of 18, communication regarding bookings, payments, progress or other important matters will normally take place with the student’s parent or carer.
I believe that open communication between the tutor, student and parent/carer plays an important role in helping students achieve their potential.
Parents are encouraged to contact me if they have any questions or concerns regarding their child’s tuition.
Worksheets, lesson resources, revision materials and other content provided by Infinity Maths Tutoring are intended for the student’s personal educational use only.
Materials created by Infinity Maths Tutoring must not be copied, shared, distributed, published or used commercially without prior permission.
Materials belonging to third-party publishers or examination boards remain subject to their respective copyright terms.
Lessons must not be audio or video recorded by students or parents/carers without prior agreement.
If Infinity Maths Tutoring wishes to record a lesson for educational, safeguarding or training purposes, appropriate consent will be obtained beforehand.
The safety and wellbeing of students is taken seriously.
Online tuition will be conducted professionally and through agreed communication and teaching platforms.
For students under 18, parents/carers should ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place for their child to participate safely in online tuition.
Any safeguarding concerns will be handled appropriately and, where necessary, may be reported to the relevant safeguarding authorities.
Infinity Maths Tutoring may collect and store personal information necessary to provide tuition, communicate with families, manage bookings and process payments.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and the Infinity Maths Tutoring Privacy & Cookies Policy.
Personal information will not be sold to third parties.
Infinity Maths Tutoring will provide professional teaching, guidance and support to help each student work towards their academic goals.
However, examination performance can be affected by many factors outside the tutor’s control. Infinity Maths Tutoring therefore cannot guarantee particular grades, examination results, school placements or academic outcomes.
Parents/carers may choose to discontinue tuition at any time, subject to payment for any sessions already booked or falling within the cancellation period.
Infinity Maths Tutoring also reserves the right to discontinue tuition where necessary. Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided.
Lesson fees and these Terms & Conditions may occasionally be updated.
Parents/carers will be given reasonable notice of any significant changes that affect their tuition.
By booking and/or paying for tuition with Infinity Maths Tutoring, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
